Dr. David M.P. van Meenen

Dr. David M.P. van Meenen (Leiden, 1988) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam UMC. He focusses mainly on intensity of mechanical ventilation and ventilation of pediatric patients, in the ICU and in the OR. In this context he supervises several PhD students and is co-principal investigator on the PRoVENT-PED and BIG-APPLE studies, he is also involved in several other large studies; PRoVAcT-COVID, DESIGNATION and GENERATOR. Besides research he is also an anesthesiologist in training. He works in the Amsterdam UMC in the departments of anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. Dr. van Meenen obtained his medical degree and his PhD from the University of Amsterdam. He received grants from ZonMW.
