About Intensive Care Research in the Amsterdam UMC

The ICU research group of the Amsterdam UMC in the Netherlands is focused on conducting innovative high quality research on various topics, including but not limited to ARDS, sepsis, post-anoxic brain injury, machine learning, mechanical ventilation and lung ultrasound. To obtain this goal we combine preclinical research in the laboratory of experimental intensive care and anesthesiology (LEICA), clinical studies ranging from observational cohort studies, to diagnostic accuracy studies and randomized controlled trial and data from large registries.
