Drs. Siebe Blok

Siebe Blok (Utrecht, 1994), MSc, MD, is a PhD candidate in the intensive care unit of the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. He graduated cum laude as a medical doctor in the Amsterdam UMC, location VUmc. He also graduated cum laude as a biomedical scientist from the University of Amsterdam and graduated from the University of Oxford as immunologist, with a distinction in clinical immunology. In May 2022 he started a PhD trajectory at the ICU of Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. His research interests include fluid management, lung ultrasonography, mechanical ventilation and immunology. together with Amne Mousa, he is coordinator of the CONFIDENCE-trial.
