Prof. dr. Frederique Paulus

Prof. dr. Frederique Paulus is a professor and clinical epidemiologist at the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. She finished the master of science training in Evidence Based Practice at the University of Amsterdam in 2006 and obtained a doctorate at the same university in 2012. Before she became a PhD candidate she has been working as an intensive care nurse in the AMC in Amsterdam for over 15 years. She maintains a research agenda that examines the care of patients requiring mechanical ventilation. In addition to her role as principle investigator, Frederique Paulus is a Quality Improvement advisor for the departments of Intensive Care and Anesthesiology. She is affiliated with the University of applied science Amsterdam as associate professor of Critical Care. She currently also serves as the chair of the scientific committee for the European federation of Critical Care Nurses Association.
