Willemke Stilma, MSc, LLM, RN

Willemke Stilma combines research at the Amsterdam UMC (location AMC) with nurse education and the Amsterdam University of Applied Science. She finished the master of science training in Evidence Based Practice at the University of Amsterdam in 2013 and started in 2018 with her PhD trajectory. She will defend her PhD thesis on ‘airway care interventions and prone positioning in critically ill patients’ in June 2023. Before she became a nurse educator, she has been working as an intensive care nurse in the OLVG in Amsterdam for 10 years. Her research focusses on airway care interventions, prone positioning and more recently, the sustainability of ICU care for the future.
