Dr. Marry R. Smit

Dr. Marry R. Smit (Groningen, 1993) works as a post-doctoral researcher and technical physician at the intensive care unit of the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. She did her PhD trajectory at the ICU of the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC and obtained her degree in 2022 at the University of Amsterdam. She now works as a postdoctoral researcher in lung imaging (e.g. computed tomography and ultrasound) in mechanically ventilated patients, with a specific focus on ARDS. She received an NWO Veni grant in 2024. She coordinates the PEGASUS study.
