Drs. Godelieve M. Brasz
Godelieve completed her studies in Technical Medicine at the University of Twente, where she specialized in Medical Imaging and Interventions during her master’s track. During her clinical rotations, she developed a strong interest in machine learning and deep learning applications for medical image analysis.
After graduating in 2025, she started her industrial PhD trajectory at the intensive care unit of the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, in collaboration with Delft Imaging. Her research focuses on automated lung ultrasound for the early recognition of pneumonia (ALERT study). The project aims to improve pneumonia diagnosis and care by increasing the accessibility and usability of lung ultrasound in primary care settings, such as general practice, as well as in low- and middle-income countries.
