Drs. Krijna Opschoor
Krijna Opschoor, MD, is a PhD candidate in the Intensive Care department and an Anesthesiology resident at Amsterdam UMC. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Amsterdam University College, after which she earned her medical degree in 2021. She then worked in the Intensive Care department at OLVG before starting her Anesthesiology residency in 2023.
At the end of 2024, she began her PhD trajectory. Together with Santje Slot, based at OLVG, she initiated and coordinates the TIDE observational study. This project investigates physiological, ultrasound and laboratory determinants of optimal timing for successful deresuscitation. This study and other projects of Krijna’s PhD aim to develop a more personalized, evidence-based approach to fluid management in critically ill patients.
